The feminist video essay Inside Out deals with the question of the relationship with the viewers and shows scenes of female masturbation in a short film. In her exploration of intimacy and sexuality, Nicolle Bussien repeatedly changes approach and perspective, sometimes close and sometimes distant, alternating between blurred and sharp, figurative and abstract, or even metaphorical and literal film settings. The video captivates the audience by stimulating the auditory and visual senses in a sometimes oppressive way.
