Livio Casanova works on and with textiles. The drawing line as well as the landscape image remain important components, but are reduced to a minimum. In the three works Floaty (Satellite), the floating line, which the artist applied to the batik cloths from wool soaked in paint, suggests a path through the dark night or through outer space and leads to an image showing a river landscape with mountains. Reminiscent of the weightlessness of the dream world, the textile works have a lightness about them that contrasts with the profundity of the subject.
