Lea Krebs has been engaged in her reflections on abstraction for years. «forme» comprises a series of works that take up the theme with the help of different techniques such as ink drawing or painting. For plaquette (forme), Lea Krebs has freely arranged twelve ceramic objects on three shelves. They are reminiscent of colourful sweets and immediately exert an enticing effect on the viewer’s gaze; their rounded and bulging appearance contradicts the two-dimensional form. This perplexing pretence of volume is further enhanced by the interaction of the colours with each other.
