In the video triptych Correlation given_open sheet, Lara Wedekind explores the interaction between humans and their environment through three physical and acoustic encounters. The artist explores hearing by confronting a bass player with a horse, a banjo player with a river and a drummer with a tree. The resulting relationships are explored visually in an interplay of perspectives and sonically through the juxtaposition of musical improvisations and natural sounds. All actors in this polyphonic installation switch roles between observing and interpreting and vice versa.
