Daniel Kurth focuses his artistic interest on collected material that suggests social identities and ideals. In found photographs, video, sound or text fragments, he examines their present state, origin and transformation in terms of their symbolism. The video I live in the interstice, delivered from any fulfilled meaning conveys a timeless examination of historically charged monuments, which he juxtaposes with a natural park and through whose intermingling the respective meanings seem to cancel each other out. In the work I knew precisely these pictures before, which is in the following gallery, the artist alludes to the identity-creation of common postcard motifs, in that one thinks one knows the place in the photographs, even if one has never been there.
