In the series (prisms) IV, consisting of five abstract photographs, Gabriel Flückiger deals with perception and light. The images, which deliberately challenge our gaze, are not the result of a digital simulation, but are based on experimental arrangements with physical materials. The artist thus questions the interpretative schemes based on the sense of sight. Formally, these compositions embody a certain musicality whose basis, rhythm, gives the ensemble its harmony.
