Lara Dâmaso’s artistic work deals with intimacy and vulnerability, drawing on her personal experiences. In the video work Krücken Tanz, the artist blatantly presents her marked and damaged body, which despite everything radiates strength, eroticism and a strong sense of self-confidence. Although Dâmaso still bears the stigmata of an accident and a stay in hospital, she frees herself from this traumatic experience with a cathartic dance. The artist finds new forms of movement and thus manages to take full possession of her body again.
