With with fondest regards, Mathias C. Pfund (*1992) undertakes an artistic intervention on the donation of Mary Ann and Hal Glicksman to the Kunsthaus Biel in 2023. In particular, the artist examines two works made of fluorescent tubes by Dan Flavin: Untitled (For Mary Ann & Hal with Fondest Regards) 1 & 2 (1976). The case study draws on a variety of source material and takes shape through Mathias C. Pfund's diverse artistic gestures.

Nathalie Du Pasquier (*1957) worked as a designer for the Memphis group in Milan until 1987 and has since devoted herself mainly to painting. The two internationally recognised artists know each other but never had the opportunity to exhibit together. Although their work is very different, they share a common attitude that combines their interest in the history of the avant-garde with a playful spirit. The invitation to a joint exhibition becomes a discussion about abstract painting: its historical burden, its decorative horizon, its «commodification» or its relationship to language.

In recent years, the two artists have worked a lot with models or dolls. These scraped, assembled objects play a central role in their artistic practice: they are the remnants of a complex human existence and, if they are lucky, find their last stop in a dusty second-hand shop before they wither away completely. All the works on display at the Kunsthaus Biel are interconnected and function like an old automated Swiss clock programmed according to a coded script.
